Preserving Summer - Conservare l'estate

I savor summer's flavors year-round by canning fresh fruits and vegetables from our garden
The tomato crop seems to be abundant and our pear tree is delightful.

There were so many pears that I decided to preserve some in jars.

Pickled vegetables provide a taste of summer all year long.  Great as snacks, appetizers.  Also great to enhance meat taste.

Daylilies Explode Color in the Garden

Daylilies are referred to as the gardener's perfect perennial flower because they are easy to grow. I use them in my garden with other perennials as companion plants with trees and shrubs. They provide fragrance and extended color and variety throughout the summer.

Clematis - The Aristocrat of Climbers

The large, exquisite blooms of the clematis are really spectacular throughout the summer.. Its deep bluish-purple flowering is a show-stopper in the garden.
